"The Greatest Neighbourhood in Canada"
2012 People's Choice - Canadian Institute of Planners
The Street Fair will be back in 2018!
Come to the Fair! A day of historic fun for the whole family. Princess Avenue will be closed from William to Palace and pedestrian only for this event.
Our small Centre Stage will host music from classical to celtic and performances by local actors. Historic District Horse and Carriage Tours will run around the surrounding neighbourhood.
There will be Victorian Fair Games, games for children of all ages reflective of the late 1800s, historic displays, the Woodfield Cafe with costumed servers, a bookshop, and a variety of historic demonstrations. There will even be a soap box Speakers Corner hosting period rallies.
Lord Roberts School, in the rear yard
Accepting Plant Donations at 8:00 am
Open for Business at 8:30 am to Noon
Pot up those perennials that you are thinning out of your garden and trade them in for tokens. Then, trade the tokens for something brought from another garden! The plant exchange still starts at 8:30 and will have 'the most amazing breakfast sandwiches, coffee and treats EVER."
Location to be announced
The night will start with our dessert pot-luck, followed by the awards presentation, general meeting and a guest speaker.
Come out to hear what your executive have been doing, and give us your comments!
Please bring along a POTLUCK DESSERT and WINE if you wish, for the after party. At our starting home, there will be treats and festive beverages, and with any luck a snowy backdrop.
After that the real caroling starts as we bundle up for a short wander from door to door guided by our lantern bearer.
at: Dufferin Hall, 453 Dufferin Avenue
Bring along an item for the potluck dinner, and settle in with over 100 of your neighbours for a great night of eating, meeting old and new friends, and bidding on an amazing array of auction items.
